What is Learning in Action?
Learning in Action is an innovative, 5-year project that uses certified Experiential Learning Opportunities (ELOs) to support the problem solving skills of undergraduate students. When you enroll in a certified ELO or participate in a certified co-curricular ELO, you will have unique opportunities to:
- deepen your understanding of academic content through involvement in authentic contexts
- connect with faculty and staff who facilitate your active involvement in authentic problem solving–the solutions you develop will have real-world impacts and consequences
- gain an awareness of the complexities of real-world problems solving and the strategies needed to successfully engage in solving those problems, especially as they relate to your future careers
